Make sure you unplug the appliance first, before you start to clean it.
The outside; make sure you use a sponge or other soft type cleaning aid so you do not scratch the kettle and leave unsightly marks. If there are stubborn spots then try rubbing half a lemon over the spots and then wipe clean.
How to Clean a Kettle
Descaling your kettle, it seems no matter where we live we will eventually end up with limescale in the kettle and unless it is kept on top of, it can ruin your appliance and worse your tea or coffee pleasure.
To descale your appliance fill half way with water and half clear vinegar, leave over night to steep. In the morning rinse kettle thoroughly fill with water and boil. Carefully empty and rinse clean once again. Now you have a lovely clean kettle ready for the first brew of the day!
